Subscription

If you subscribe, we process your first name, last name, and email address to send you updates about events and community news.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use Kit to manage subscriptions and send emails. You can unsubscribe or withdraw your consent at any time. Subscriber data is retained only as necessary for the operation of the service and applicable legal obligations.

Website hosting

The website is provided through Cloudflare, which may process technical connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Event registrations and payments

We use Luma to manage event registrations and ticket sales. For paid events, payments are processed through Stripe.

Personal data required for registration, ticketing and payment may be processed for the purpose of providing the requested service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Luma and Stripe may also process certain data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data related to paid events, such as invoices and payment records, may be retained where required by applicable tax and commercial law.

Contact messages

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your request. Depending on the nature of the request, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

International data transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

Depending on the provider and processing involved, applicable transfer mechanisms may include an adequacy decision, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
